As an Auto Body student, you will learn latest auto body repair techniques using up-to-date equipment. Classroom discussion is combined with lab work to learn the following skills: • Oxyacetylene and gas metal arc welding (GMAW) • Automotive stationary and moveable glass • Sheet metal repair and replacement • Welding and repairing plastic components • Refinishing techniques • Structural damage analysis and repair procedures • Electronic estimating • Structural adhesive use Refinishing techniques are tested using the Spray Technique Analysis and Research (STAR) training methods. Skills you learn repairing late model vehicles prepare you for immediate entry into the workforce. After you graduate, you can seek employment in independent shops, automotive dealerships, or become self-employed. |
