LEARNING
CENTER
Testing
& GED
The Learning Center at Northwest Iowa Community College
was developed to help make it easier for students to succeed and meet
their future goals. One of the many services that are offered to students
is proctored testing. A picture ID is required for all testing. Supervised
testing makes it possible for:
• Students to make up tests. With your instructor’s approval,
you can take your test through the Learning Center.
• On-line students from NCC and other colleges/universities to take
on-line tests. Proctored testing allows you to complete the courses required
and take your exams at a convenient location.
• Individualized GED
testing. You can complete your high school education and receive a
High School Equivalency Diploma from the Iowa Department of Education.
NCC’s Continuing Education department registers GED students.
• Individuals with learning disabilities to receive help. The Learning
Center staff will assist with test taking.
